I recently upgraded my stereo system.
After putting the front door panels back on, I can’t get the top corner trim pieces to stay in place. The bottom of the trim pops back in but the top clip won’t lock in.

Is there a trick to getting it to stay locked in the slot in the door?
I have tried bending the metal clip out a bit, but still no luck.

I had the same problem the drivers side. I put a little silicone in the holes and used painters tape to hold it in place overnight. Worked great.

Use a small pair of pliers to remove the metal clip covered in the soft rubber, even a small pair of needle nose work. I had the best lunch using this method, once you get the metalclip out that has a rubber cover over it. Then reinstall it on the top interior mirror cover.
