I noticed a Bronco the other day that had tie-down rings (not ring-shaped, I just don't know what to call them) on top of each front fender. Does anyone know if this was this a factory option or an after-market item? I need to move long things (like ladders) and they would come in handy. On the Bronco forum they are called "anchors" and that they are rated for 150lbs each, but that's all.

Thanks in advance for any help.

not an option as they require a notch in the fender

Rats..... I was afraid it was a Bronco-only thing. I hate to drill my own holes in a new truck..... if you smell something burning it's me trying to think of something.

Excellent! I really appreciate it! I have never heard of those until now so I am grateful.

I have a pair coming!

i saw these on a Bronco in my dealers showroom. Did not give it much thought until i saw this thread. Not sure if factory or dealer installed.
