Installing (only) my front guards this week like I do on all my trucks. No need for the rears for me, I don’t care what happens behind the truck.

I reversed the screws on the back that hold the bracket. Just didn't like how they looked and was afraid they might catch something. Not sure why the directions had that orientation to begin with.

Did you actually use an inch pound torque wrench or just tighten the bolts with a socket wrench?

I just tightened the bolts to what felt right honestly. If anything, they're probably over torqued slightly.

SOLD : I have a front and rear set of these splash guards available for half price. PM me. I installed them, but no miles on them. Decided not to use and remove.

My question would be, is that gap because of the Mud Flap design or is it part of the trucks design? If you went with a different Mud Flap would the gap still be there?
Poor design.

I removed the factory Ford installed mud flaps immediately after my Mav purchase and replaced them with Mabett mud flaps. Plenty of posts on MTC regarding the paint wear issue with the wrap around Ford mud flaps that may cause premature rusting where the edge of the mud flap contacts the fender paint. I began to see evidence of the scratching already on a brand new Mav. The Mabett mud flaps install on the inner wheel well and do not wrap around to scratch the fender paint.
