2 small pieces of foam under arms.
As opposed to deodorant?

Will put the Lariat heated wiper area to the test over Christmas.....rain turning to snow Friday, high of 7 on Saturday. I plan to just leave them, and do a remote start to see how they thaw out in their normal position. I would certainly hope with this option, raising the blades won't be necessary.

The Maverick wipers aren't really 'hidden', you can lift just the part with the blade on it from the windshield when in the off position. Hint to everyone in the cold part of the country, don't use that cheap blue wiper fluid that claims to be good to -20*, it's not, I've found that when temps get to the single digits it freezes on the windshield. Get the -25 or -30 if you can, this stuff will actually remove frost & light ice & not freeze.

I tried to simply lift the arm but hood design prevented me from doing so. Looked through owners manual, nothing. Finally turned the wipers on and turned the engine off before cycle complete.

Did manage to get arm/blade off windshield. There should be a better way to do this.

Advice please
note: To place the wiper arms in a service
position, switch your vehicle on in accessory
mode, switch on the wipers and switch your
vehicle off when the wipers are at their
highest position.
Note: Do not manually move the wiper
arms to the service position unless the wiper
path is obstructed by snow or ice.

Page 89 of the 2023 owners manual
did not see this in the 2022 manual..

See post #13 - Ford advises against this.
No, you misunderstood me, you don't move the wiper arm through any range of it's motion, you simply grab the wiper BLADE part only where it pivots on the arm, & lift it off of the windshield to release it, if there is snow or ice under where the blade rests, you can scrape under it with a small scraper.
