I’m mainly here for the mods

As far as needing mod details spoon fed to people….. lots of it just take a little bit of common sense to figure out
I’ve not done anything ground breaking but I’ve answered all of the pms sent to me
I like seeing what other people do as far as mods go, if I see something I want to do I’ll do my best to figure out how to do the same or similar
Very few things are rocket science

And when I say mods I’m not talking about anything you can order via Amazon, well maybe some stuff lol

I really think the board will pick up as more Mavericks are delivered. As the 23s roll in there will be a whole new batch of folks with questions and showing off their new rides.

Gee, I thought the purpose of this forum was to whine about how long it takes to get a truck built. That is what I used it for, and I am very satisfied. The more I whine, the longer it takes.

I'm late to the party, but here's my 2cents.

Social Media has turned our current and last couple generations into narcissists. By this I mean it's allowed us to have our own place to glorify ourselfs and say here we are come look at us. The expected result that is implied is people will garner interest in us and then ask us more details. Furthering our narrative the world is about us. In time we drop the motive that we are looking for appreciaton and inquiry into our lives and it becomes simply a tool to say I'm special and here's what I did. This is what I see in facebook, and beyond.

So details in posts are few, because in the end it comes down to individuals trying to stand out and parade around self-accomplishments.

I no longer have social media (unless this counts, then I'm screwed) and check my phone or email only a few times a day, it's amazing having more time for things that actually matter. If I need to stay in touch with a loved one, I call them and engage with them, not from behind a hidden wall of text about me.

Might even leave more time for those details about mods missing from these posts.

Again, my 2cents.

You must be reading my mind!! This is the first and only "social media" thing I have ever participated in. I am not afraid to actually talk to people . I joined this because I love cars/trucks and there was very little information around. Hang in there,it is good for getting information on mods, accessories, etc. I like your 2 cents!

I have learned a lot about the Ford Maverick on this forum and I thank those of you who contribute positive thoughts and ideas about the Maverick. It is great to see the photos of the modifications, accessories, or additions to your Maverick with a FULL EXPLANATION of what you did and where to source the parts you used. Some of your genius ideas would only get me in trouble if I tried your alterations, so I leave that alone; especially the electrical stuff.
Here is my gripe ! Why do some you post pictures of what you have done to your Maverick, write an explanation of it, and give your opinion of how it turned out without sharing where the rest of us might find whatever it is, maybe how much it costs, and any obstacles you might have encountered when self installing ? Those who don't are either too ignorant to communicate or too selfish to share your accomplishment with the rest of us. It is highly likely you don't have the only Maverick with a tonneau cover or whatever. And please don't ask me to PM you for your little secrets because you will likely mislead or short change me in your reply.
A Forum is a place where ideas or information can be exchanged not a place to inflate your ego. Enough ?
If you get a tonneau cover as a after market do not expect it to be water tight. I know some are but there are so many ways for the water to get under the seal. I have been told by a installer it is hard to seal all the water out. Some people are lucky. My fear of doing some of the recommendations because they could trap water and possibly give me a rust problem down the road.

Every modification I have been interested in that was posted here, was always explained in great detail once asked about on their thread. Half the time more chimed in about previous threads with links to them that already did the mod and did it better or more detailed. Only times I have been ignored with a query on here are when someone comes back on 3 weeks later talking about a move, hospital stay, vacation, or job change.
