FordPass remote start not working

I've had my truck for seven months and I think the remote start function has worked maybe half a dozen times. The first time it stopped working, I did all the stuff (log out of the app, uninstall/reinstall the FordPass app, master reset the Sync system, etc.). The factory reset and subsequent reactivation of the app fixed it. However, it soon stopped working again. Because the fall and most of the winter in Tennessee have been pretty mild, I've not missed the remote start. However, as it's gotten colder I've wished the remote start was more reliable. And I don't want to have to do a factory reset every time this issue arises. I can see my vehicle status, mileage, etc., but the remote start and lock/unlock features are not working. Any tips or feedback? Thanks.

I think you have the right idea but next time try resetting one item, phone or truck

I have reset the app multiple times, with no success at getting remote features working :(

This is why I had to get remote start on the key fob this time around. It was too unreliable for my fusion. I dont really use fordpass at all now because of not needing it.

I just went through all of this also as it has been chilly in Ohio. The sync 3 system is corrupt and needs update via flash drive. There are only 2 options here. 1)Take to dealership for update. 2) With a flash drive in hand and at a computer call ford sevice 800 392 3673. At the voice automated directory say you need "in vehicle tech". They walk you through the steps to login to ford account and upload update to flash drive. There are quite a few steps but easy if one has a little computer knowledge. It's worked for me! Good luck!

Old thread, but in case anyone is still having issues: I have noticed that FordPass hates WiFi on my phone (Pixel 9 Pro). It regularly won't even load the main menu page for the vehicle. As soon as I turn WiFi off and use my cell data it works like a charm every time loading the controls in the app (both my Maverick and my Mach E). No explanation for this, just an observation.

I had this problem before. I deleted the app from my iPhone, shut down my iPhone, turn it back on after waiting a minute and added the app again. Not sure if you did this but it worked for me.
