Yep. Same with mine. And it doesn't matter how I position it. Just living with it for now.

That sucks. Eff it, i'm voiding my warranty and figuring out a way to add tension.

To anyone else, DO NOT BUY. There are other options for the same price that HAVE adjustable tension. Very frustrating.

I thought about adding some thickness to the bars (maybe some pool noodles or pipe insulation) to see if that might work.

Could work. There is a nut on the end of the latch spring that looks adjustable if you could get a wrench on it, but the latch mechanism is already at the end of the rails so doesn't seem like you could extend it farther out...

I have the Ford branded one and I add more tension after rolling the cover out by undoing the Velcro edges and pulling them tight before reattaching. Nothing will completely remove all movement but this helps.

It’s much tighter than the Amazon generic I have on my 6.5’ bed F150.

So the problem, for me at least, isn't the side to side tension; it's front to back. As in the mounting point for the rear latch isn't far enough back to have adequate tension on the cover. And the position isn't adjustable. Just poor engineering it appears.

I'll report back if I find a good solution, and if anyone else figures out a good way to modify this, let me know!

All soft covers flap on the highway. I've had 3 Truxedo LoPros on Rams and Sport Tracs. They all flapped also. I'm very happy with my Ford (Truxedo) soft roll-up cover. Purchased for about $200 with points. Pull the velcro as tight as you can on each side. It will loosen with warm weather also.

My $189 Max-Mate billows with speed/wind, but when I get home, I see that the velcro is still firmly attached on both sides, so I've decided not to worry much. Maybe someday a hard rollup, but this does seem to work ok. I think it is air getting in from the rear at the tailgate that causes the billowing.

silver lining - the flapping busts up crusty snow and ice in the winter and it blows away

No joke!

It's a junk design all around, though. Way too short to the extent I had to put a very thick weatherstrip (made for a camper/RV slide-out) on the top edge of the tailgate to close the huge gap, and even then the tonneau is not close enough to the bulkhead at the front to keep a lot of water from coming in. I figure maybe I'll upgrade eventually. Meanwhile, it's better than nothing.
