I guess comprehensive was not high in your studies? English has several words with different meanings. The way they are used in a sentence or paragraph depicts there meaning. Unless you are just posting as a joke, which I appreciate, and enjoyed.But .... a carrot is not a fruit, so it already was fruitless!
You could have mentioned "tomato". In Arkansas it is both the state fruit and the state vegetable.
