We had a 6 volt 61 beetle - man that thing was electrically underpowered. The wipers moved in slow motion and the headlights had a dim yellow glow. I loved driving it but not in the rain or at night!

I finally got the heaters and defrosters working. When I rebuilt the engine I had to pull the heater ducts off. Whatever held the insulation to the inside of the ducting deteriorated (probably from the red hot engine) and it collapsed plugging the hot air flow.
