Very interesting. What dealer sold you the ESP? When I tried to get an estimate from Flood, they, like Granger, say they can't sell in CA. If you got a good deal from a CA dealer, please share. If it was elsewhere, please share that as well! We've had several members here complaining that in CA (and FL, I think), they were prevented from getting one at a decent price.
I bought my policy from Flood Ford in RI. I don't think they will sell to consumers in CA anymore....

Too bad. I haven't seen anyone post a good dealer from CA who sells at a discount in the state. I still have a lot of friends in CA (where I retired from). WY doesn't generate those sorts of regulations.

Many thanks to all for the insights. I'm undecided but leaning away from Ford Protect. The reason is this. I'm 71, mostly retired. I'll probably put 6-7k/yr. on the new truck. At some point we stop driving. That will be long after the standard warranty period, but not a milage total that you would associate with a worn our or troubled truck. I'm tending to think on this gamble the odds are in my favor. If I were 10 years younger and still working, I might have a different view. And I tend to have my cars regularly serviced by very good mechanics.

I’m looking at the premium package from flood. Am I correct in understanding it covers almost everything EXCEPT the main dash monitor (the thing I’m most
Worries will actually fail over time)?

I see that exclusion: Instrument Cluster (Excluding Dash Pad) . Hope someone can give a definition of exactly what that is, and why the exclusion.
