I thought the interest rate at the time of order, would be honored?

Unfortunately everyone saw this one coming due to the recent Fed announcements (especially considering they plan to raise rates multiple times). At this point I'm gonna have to cross my fingers that there won't be additional increases between now and whenever my truck is actually delivered. I'm definitely gonna have to look for better alternatives with my CU, etc.

I had a different experience with rebates but not sure if it applies to interest rates as well. I qualified for a rebate that was $1000 back when I ordered in June and is currently $750. I called ford program headquarters and they said normally dealers incentive lock at time of order so I was able to get it changed to $1000.

Consider joining Farm Bureau in your state. It costs (varies by type of membership) and maverick qualifies for use of farm bureau certificate but not all dealers participate and the $500 certificate is not stackable with some other Ford discounts. Varies by state but membership requirements vary some by state. If you do anything farm related (don't expect dating a farmer's son or daughter would qualify but helping them with chores should cinch it) you can qualify. In addition to Ford honoring certificates other venders do also. Some insurance companies do also. Check out their programs on their websites

Funk that. Once I know my truck has an estimated delivery date, I'll go to my credit union.

(edit) Just checked Ford website. Looks like the higher percentage rates was for those doing 60+ months of financing. Not going to panic.

I went in on Saturday to get all the paperwork taken care of even though the truck hasn't made it to the dealership yet. I got Ford's 1.9% for 60 months financing. Had I waited for delivery it would have been 2.9%.

When your truck comes in you have two options.
-Offers from when you put in your order
-Current offers

You can choose whichever works out better for you.

Every dealer I spoke to said " You get the best financing incentives at time of order or delivery whichever is better"

If you haven't learned by now that most dealerships are the worst and will say anything to make a buck, I cannot help you.
