Comes up as identical pricing with Flood for me. Also, do they accept FordPass Points as payment like Flood does?

Could be based on location - I'm in CA where everything is more expensive LOL

Warranties start at mile 0. Doesnt matter when you purchase it.

Several people (including me) have said that that has been their understanding.

What is puzzling me is that the official sales brochure appears to say something different:

"Coverage ends at the earlier of the number of months purchased or the number of miles purchased from the expiration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty."​

So I'm wondering if something has changed, if I'm misreading this, or if this is just an inexplicable (and possibly costly) error on Ford's part.

The terms of the contract may insulate Ford from a straight contract claim, but this sure looks like a deceptive trade practice. (Ford knows that most people are unlikely to read the small print in the contract and instead will rely on the brochure or whatever the dealer tells them.)

So if I have the Maverick for three years and that ends the warranty from ford with only 18000 miles on the Vehicle does the Extended Warranty pick up the remaining miles and additional years as well in other words on 6 yrs 100000 mile would I have 3 yrs and 82000 miles left...

Basically subtract the original years/miles from the length of the extended warranty (6y/100k, etc) and that is essentially what your buying.

Can anyone tell me what this means?

The phrase "from the expiration of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty" confuses me a bit. It kind of looks like they start counting the months and miles at the end of the manufacturer's warranty.

So, for example, if I have a 36,000 mile new vehicle warranty and I buy a 100,000 mile service plan, then (ignoring the time limits) that plan would last until I had 136,000 miles on the truck.

Is that right? Because I always thought the extended plan started counting at zero miles.

Now what about used vehicles. I've always got a 4 year warranty on all my vehicles. I don't know if they've ever told me a limit on mileage. At least I've never had a problem right up to the 4 year mark. I've had 8 used vehicles. This Maverick will be my 2nd new vehicle.

So what do I realy get on this warranty. On a Hybrid the battery is covered 8 years 100K and the Power Train Warranty is 5 yrs 60k...so what should I worry about that would also potentially be a big cost issue?

Infotainment, HVAC, fuel delivery, CP360 (both the base and optional features), electric power steering, LED headlights to name a few.
