Looks great I just used some plywood and threw some carpet on it but I would like the tailgate protector . Did you install it yourself and is it double sided tape or does it bolt on using the bolts on the tailgate ?

Anyone get the Ford Bed Mat yet? I ordered one because I thought it would be a bit softer on the old knees. But I'm wondering if anyone can tell what it's really like.
I have the Ford Bed Mat in my F350 Super Duty over my drop in liner. The mat is a good 1/2" thick and is heavy rubber. It will do your knees good as that is one of the reasons that I bought it in addition to the drop in liner. I liked it so much in the Super Duty that I also ordered one with the Maverick.

Dont have my maverick yet but the bed mat on the demo unit I drove seemed beefy and all around a quality unit- Its not light.

Looks great. Was it easy to install? Where the holes predrilled?

I'm thinking of doing this instead of the spray in.

Also is it pretty rough and not slick.

Nice. This is what I want. Is there any fabric or anything underneath the bed liner?

Bed Tray Liner , Looks great and functional, I want one also instead of the rubber bed mat.
Why slippery plastic over a rubber mat. The bottom of a rubber mat conforms the the bed‘s groves, but give you a flat surface in top. I’m getting a Bed Rug Impact mat (not the rug texture). It even has a flexible section to cover the gap between bed and tailgate. List $289 from Ford, $183 fromBed Rug.

This is probably a goofy question, but why doesn’t the bed liner cover the sides of the bed? Is that just a different part than what’s shown in this post? I drove a demo Mav this week that had the same thing and was a little confused by it.

Bed Tray Liner Part # NZ6Z-9900038-B
Tailgate Liner Part # NZ6Z- 9900038-C

Easy install.
Tailgate Liner was easy too.

In your third picture we see a black board in the FlexBed slot. Is this just a painted pressure treated board or did you find a black composite board? We don't have Menards in Connecticut and I can't find anyone else who sells the composite 2X6.

Any benefit of one versus the other? Or just a personal preference?
Depends on what you'll be hauling. Bags of mulch or decorative rock? Bed tray is fine. Loose gravel? Bedliner for sure.

If one added sides, the cost would most likely be very close to a Sprayed in Bedliner like Line-x. Have had a slip in full liner and bed mats and both still let water and dirt get underneath them causing rust. Line-x, Rhino, and Bullet gave me quotes of $500-550. More money but I don't want to worry about hauling dirt and gravel. SIBL's are pretty bulletproof.

Think I'm headed that way as well. Don't haul a lot of loose gravel or rock, but plenty of brush and other crap that's going to scratch up the sides of my bed. Reached out in a previous post and sounds like folks who have had the spray in bed liner for a long time are pretty pleased with how it holds up.
