I don't really care for the lines of it. Love Cactus Gray Though!

Since there’s no space like a traditional truck could it be water tight against the cab? Looks like a trench where it meets the cab for rain to gather. And leak into the bed.

I'm wondering where the brake light will tap since they provided the 12V source so people would not tap into the lighting circuit. Would really need to tap into the existing brake circuit, unless they have thoughtfully added a parallel plug into the brake circuit.
They might just use a fibre optic cable and a lens capturing and forwarding the cab light.

This may explain why it's not on the build sheet.

Had not thought of that. It would be a simpler option, that's for sure. No plugging/unplugging for easy removal.

Looks awful, but given the height and proportions of this truck there won't be a cap that looks good with it.

I'm not sure why people think that truck beds need to be hermetically sealed against the elements. Wait until you see how much dust & grime enters thru the gap at the inside-bottom & sides of the tailgate.

never had a topper before and living in oregon if it’s not mostly rain tight then I have no need. My life is made up of dust and grime.

We just caught a production-ready Cactus Grey Ford Maverick on the streets, fitted with our first look at a Ford-branded bed cap. The cap shows signs of styling nuances specifically designed to work with the Maverick’s design (note how the cap’s rear side glass aligns perfectly with the black plastic trim that runs up the trucklet’s C-pillar.

The cap’s roof rises considerably over the Maverick’s roof line, allowing for more storage capacity. A Ford logo is seen on the rear corner of what effectively becomes the Maverick’s D-pillar, proving this to be a Ford-branded accessory, and not an aftermarket item.

Idea - five stars
Execution - one star

Do not get the swoopiness. And why color match ? Make it the same gray/black material of the bed protector. (May be very alone on that hill.)

This just changed/modified my potential trim....

I still wish Maverick would have beaten Bronco Sport to market = Wifey would still be rollin' in her Jetta, not Badlands

Once my wife sees this she'll finally figure out that the truck is a stalking horse for an Irish Wolfhound puppy.

Don't care for this topper. I think there will be aluminum toppers available that would suit my needs better. It would be light enough for me to remove and put on by myself. Ideally, I would pair this with a between the rails fold up tonneau that could be left on the truck and the topper would fit over.
