Ford has stated, anyone who is pushed to 23 from 22.Is at the front of the line
Uh OK then, good luck with that thinking.

You joined this forum on February 15th which was well past the cut-off date for ordering either a Hybrid Maverick (11/15/2021) or an EcoBoost Maverick (1/29/2022).

On what date did you place your order?

You state that there were 65-80 Maverick orders ahead of you when you ordered and that you ordered from a small (mom and pop) dealership. Why not ask them before you ordered as with those outstanding orders it sure was going to be a long time before you get scheduled because of those 80 ahead of you.

I joined this forum five weeks before I ordered and learned about allocations and with that knowledge I knew I didn't want to order from either a mega-dealer (Long McArthur, Chapman, etc) as the multi-hundreds of orders they had outstanding would result in my order being pushed well into 2022 before it got scheduled (if at all). The same problem exists for the small dealer as not many sales so not many allocations.

I went with a medium sized dealer in AutoNation Ford in Frisco TX and ordered my Hybrid Maverick XLT on 8/23. At my time of ordering they had 29 Maverick orders ahead of me not the 65-80 you have ahead of you. My Maverick was built on 11/29 and I took delivery on 12/13.
Order was placed the last week of November. I'm also in two Maverick Facebook groups and did what I *thought* was research and was aware of the supply chain issues beforehand. At the time it appeared that the major constraints were with the hybrid and FE orders, and the Ecoboost general turnaround time seemed to be apx 3-5 months without the SIBL and that the less options you had the better likelihood of getting it sooner which is why I ordered mine with no options other than the 4k tow, fx4 and luxury package (no sibl) which none at the time had any constraints. I even removed the Lux package back in December to speed it along further. 3-5 month turnaround for a retail ordered is a very long time when in a normal economy it's more like 6-8 weeks so it was safe to assume that would be the long haul.

To be fair, any normal person researching a vehicle should not have to take Ford's allocation system into account and it probably isn't even something most people know exists. I did know about the allocation system prior to ordering because I did research beforehand but even then I didn't know all the little nuisances with it, even still no one really does. it's reasonable to assume maybe my vehicle will take an extra few week, possibly a month tops at a small dealer vs a large dealer. If that were the case I wouldn't mind ordering from a smaller dealer and giving them the business, but when you have people with January orders, some even with constraints, that have gotten their vehicle before people last fall and even summer have even gotten a build date, that is not something that any person should have to assume is going to happen in any situation.

This isn't so much a supply chain issue as it is a retail allocation system that is not set up properly for the current market. It shouldn't have to be some secret formula to have to locate an ideal dealership that has less allocations then they have orders or trying to crack the code of Ford's allocation system to make sure you get it in a reasonable timeframe. There is no incentive for dealerships to be honest about their allocations and a retail order that gets cancelled does nothing but benefit them. I did what I thought was reasonable research and concluded that I would most likely be waiting 3-5 months. Best case scenario now is if I get scheduled this week and my build week is in May, I won't receive it until mid June which is 7 months. There are a lot of people even before me who haven't gotten a build date yet who have no constraints which honestly does not give me a lot of hope

I understand things change especially in this economy and supply chain mess but Ford has done a very bad job at keeping people informed and being transparent
