I waited 6 weeks for a base plate from Blue Ox it was an easy install 2025 XL bought to tow behind Motor Home
Its a great toad I went cheap because I thought It was going to be a toad only. I'm so comfortable in the truck
its become my daily driver to and from work I wish I spent the extra 3,000 for the XLT

I started to look at Maverick hybrids last February. I almost bought a XLT but could not find one in blue. Then when Ford started the Employee discount, I purchased a Maverick Lariat Hybrid. I ordered my Blue Ox base plate the same day.

I have 1100 miles on it but I left it home on this short trip to Seward before I winterize my FR3.

Was there much remove from the Maverick to facilitate installation of the baseplate?

Nice looking Mav and the Base plate install is clean. Did you camp in your FR3 at Seward ? Resurrection Campground ? Went to Seward a few years ago was there during the Alaska Hill Race and could watch from Hotel Window. Went on the Glacier express so much sea life and glacier from the boat to experience. Seward & Denali were my favorite destinations on the trip. want to go back & camp but so far from Fla. to drive.

We did not stay in Seward as campgrounds close Oct 1st. We boondocked at Tern Lake for two days. We watched a family of (7) Swans.

I did get a picture of Exit Glacier while in Seward.

Quick question - we just did a flat tow test of our 2025 Lariat Hybrid. Went through the whole neutral tow procedure per the manual. I sat in the toad while my wife drove the RV around the parking lot so I could watch the supplemental braking system do its thing. That all worked fine. However, I noticed that the Maverick would occasionally give a warning ding and a message would appear on the dash. Before people ask - I didn't have the presence of mind to screen shot the message - and I guess my memory is aging :| - but it was something to the effect of "car turned off".

Is this normal behavior?

Nice Truck. I just traded my 2022 for a 2025 AWD Lariat. In the instructions now it says wait 15 minutes before starting. Do you do that.

I was not able to use it as a toad, yet.

I do not see it as a problem as I boondock 99% of the time. I have not stayed in a campground with hookups in three years. I only stop at campgrounds to empty black tank & get fresh water.
