Installed two bed cubbies, added two tie downs and swapped out for stainless hardware.

Thankfully my dealer said they’re only charging a $500 fee. It’s through mullinax which is funny because on their website their big thing is no dealer fees.
It is not a 'FEE' it is a MEF (Mandatory Exchange of Funds)

Once I get it I will live with it a little bit first. But the things I am thinking about getting are...

Some type of bed cover, probably a roll-up cheap one. See how it survives the 100+ summer heat

Passenger seat covers for the dogs. Maybe a backseat one too.

Then I see what I need for living with it. But probably little things like a trashcan. I don't usually modify my vehicles much.

First thing I did was drive it home.
Now it sits in the driveway under a cover.

How well do you like the soft tonneau cover? Will it hold up to a drive-through car wash? I really like the looks of the soft roll up type and as it doesn't take up as much bed space when it's rolled up I think it'll be more practical than the folding covers or the hard roll up ones. Any thoughts?
I bought a soft roll up on Amazon. It’s a TipTop, I gave $170 shipping included. It’s made pretty well, fits good and was easy to install. It does leak some along the front. I think it might be were the weld seams on the bed as there’s a shallow trench there. I’ve been planning on removing the topper and adding some rubber seal across the the front of the bed. I had a $800 line-x trifold hard cover on a Ranger that leaked way worse so I’m pleasantly surprised that this inexpensive cover leaks a lot less.

After that, depression sets in because my maverick project is done and I won't have anything to plan. :(
Maybe you could spread your projects out over multiple weekend to make the fun last a bit longer! 😁
OR (and this might sound crazy to you) consider DRIVING your truck! LOL

But seriously, I'm having a ball driving mine around, and keep coming up with excuses to go for a drive. The one down-side of being retired is having to come up with "reasons" to go somewhere... (Definitely first-world problem!)

Im going to disable the run /start switch or what ever you call it.
Out of curiosity - why? The option to just not push that button doesn't work for you? I must be missing something...

Did you go with front and rear and do you have a hybrid? If yes , could you share the part number and price?
I got SmartLiner front and rear all-weather mats for my hybrid at Amazon. They were around $120, and fit perfectly. Link here.

If the MY comes with non-LED headlights, I want to run the risk there is in asking anyone planning to replace them with LED's to think of the oncoming drivers you meet in the dark especially on two lane roads, and reconsider.
Many LED headlights, even on dim, are tough on older eyes when it is dark and especially if the two lane road is wet. They make it VERY hard for many of us oncoming older drivers to see the lines that are already partially obscured by the water and the side of the road. For us who have to wear glasses the glare that is going to happen because of glasses only makes it worse. Regular headlights? Not a problem. Low to the ground LED lights in cars? Ok. But most pickups, ESPECIALLY tall pickups, like the Fords with two on top of each other and are up high on each side? I actually have to slow down in order to safely make it past those pickups because they pretty much blind me, and other than no more 20/20 vision, my eyes are healthy for being 74 next month. Those who have the start of cataracts but not bad enough to do anything about yet, like my wife? Truly blinding.
And then there are those who think it is cool to have a bar of LEDS that are fine for 4 wheeling but have them on also on a two lane road or are blasting in your rear view mirrors even though it is barely raining or not raining nor foggy. They are really bad.
So, please, think of those of us coming in the opposite direction that are of the age you will be sometime if you are not already and are experiencing some of the things that come with age. If you need them because of your eyes that is different, but ...
Thanks!
Auto headlights that are designed for LEDs are actually less prone to causing "glare" in opposing drivers' eyes than "normal" headlights that have their incandescent bulbs replaced with HID or LED bulbs. With purpose-built LED lights, the manufacturers design lenses to focus the light where you want it (below the hood / belt line, and mostly in front of the vehicle). The lenses for incandescent lights are not optimized like that, so the light is much more scattered, allowing it to "flare" into oncoming drivers' eyes much more.
(And aren't "stacked" headlights supposed to be one for high-beam and the other for low-beam? So if both are lit up, the driver likely has his high-beams on... That's just a discourteous driver!)

Don’t have mine yet.. but I can promise you the first thing I’m doing is taking off the dealers sticker on my brand new baby. 🤓🤓
Picked it up Thursday, getting racks for canoes, a bed extender, tinted back window, seat covers, a bed cover and I'm filling it with a load of manure soon.

I know what you mean about finding excuses to drive your Mav. I’m also retired and my wife and I will drive 45 miles to get groceries when there are all sorts of grocery stores within 2 miles. Sometimes we just jump in the Mav and make a 100 mile loop just for the heck of it. Last time we stuck to 2 lane roads 55mph and a few small towns of stop and go, got 40.6mpg. That’s hand calculated as I filled up before and after at the same pump. 101.5 miles 2.5 gallons.
