I have a 22 Mav lariat Lux awd. While driving it, I got a message rear belt monitor fault. I am also getting an error in Ford Pass saying driver seat belt buckle error. Also when I engaged adaptive cruise control it says not available. I have 17K on the car, dealer can't get me in for 3 weeks. Restarting the car did nothing
Odd that I got both errors at the same time. It's this kind of stuff that concerns me.

Yeah, I had a loose connection to a sensor due to a faulty connector. It caused park break fault, air bag, power train indicator lit up. I understand your concern.

I've owned maybe 30+ cars, maybe even 40+, and they were all awesome until they were not. It's a rule to live by.

The only exceptions were the 3 different generation Miatas and the 93 RX7-R1. They never stopped being awesome. Wish I had all 4 in my driveway right now.

I have always been hesitant about these modern cars. But as I grow older I have come to appreciate all the new safety features. I can deal with things that "break". I just don't want to wait three weeks for the dealer just to reset things and not find the root cause. I hope my fears are unfounded.

Check your battery cables are tight and connected. Electrical gremlins from bad connections are plentiful and for some reason battery cables are under tightened and vibrate loose.

I had the ACC not available fault code on my Lariat last winter, caused by ice build up on the front radar unit. I would check to make sure the radar unit in the grille is not blocked in any way.

I have also cleared these type of faults on other cars that I have owned by disconnecting both battery cables, waiting 5 minutes, and reconnecting them.

Yes I just hate doing that or clearing any faults with my scan tool. I want the dealer to at least see it first. Now I may spring for the extended warranty. Thanks

Out of curiosity, have you had the turn signal or tail light recalls performed?

Turn signal was done at last oil change several months ago. Have not done the tail light recall.
