Yes, you place it under the front and rear jack points on one side.

It makes tire changes a lot easier, and it doesnt torque the truck at a weird angle so it requires less effort then jacking up one point.

What confuses me is the DAYTONA Cross Beam expands to 37" wide and the side jack points are at least 48" apart.
How do you get to both jack points the at the same time?

You don't. You split the difference, use the large pads on the cross-bar, and place the jack stands at the jack points. You can favor the cross-bar toward the front, since there's more weight up-front to balance.

Ah, got it, thank you. I appreciate the additional info.

I wanted to be specific, but not pedantic, before jacking it up 'near' the jack points.
