Has anyone recently applied for or taken financing through Ford Credit?

I know that Ford Credit doesn't have any special rates for the Maverick right now and they don't seem to advertise their regular rates online either.

Does anyone know what rates they are offering for Tier 1 credit?

If you apply online and are approved do they show you the interest rate that you are approved for or is that only available to the dealer?

Will the dealer run my credit again when I go and pick up my Maverick or can they use the online application number?

You'll be better off to go to a credit union. If you're not a member of one, you can join many of them without any restrictions. Ford's rates suck right now since there are no special offers for financing available for Maverick.

I just paid off my Maverick loan from Ford credit. You might as well get a quote for them even if it's not a good one then after that you could tell the finance manager it's too high and you're going to your credit union instead. And they will most likely lower it and then see where you stand from there.

Just financed mine two days ago and Ford was over 7%. Best I could get was 6.99 and will refinance later

I went with Navy Federal for my delivery next week. %5. And the dealer didn’t even try to match and sales said the lowest they were giving was 6-7%.

Ford is at 7% according to their payment tracker on their website.

That's just a rough approximation, it's not meant to indicate that their rates are actually starting at 7%.

Applying for financing outside of the dealer can/will have different rates than at the dealer - even through the same company, like Ford Credit. The dealer profits off of purchasing financing through them, so it will likely be higher. Best bet is to apply for financing outside of the dealer and then let them try to beat it.

I just checked my credit Union rates. 3 year - 3.75%, 5 year - 5%, 6 year - 5.75%. I will tell dealer these rates and see if they can beat them. IF/WHEN my Maverick arrives

I doubt any dealer would be able to beat those rates!

Ford is actually a pretty good place to finance compared to many banks. But what Ford Credit tells the Dealer is NOT what they have to give YOU!. They can mark the rate given by Ford by up to 2% over. If they give you what Ford Credit gives them, they still get a "flat" which used to be $125 but I am sure is likely higher now.

When you see Ford advertising 0% or 2.9% and so on, that has NOTHING to do with standard rates. These are "subvented" rates. Meaning Ford, as a promotion to help sell product, pays the difference between the standard rate and the subvented rate to Ford Credit.

Credit Unions are typically going to give the best rates. But there are complications you must deal with. Such as the Dealer not working directly through them. You will likely have to do more work, get papers signed, take stuff to the Dealer and so on. You might even be delayed in picking up your new Maverick! But it can save thousands over the length of a loan.

I picked up my Mav yesterday. The dealer's financial guy asked me what my % rate was at Navy Federal. I told him 5.44%. He said I can't come close to touching that. So there you go.
