To be clear, we didn't buy the maverick to haul or tow. Rather, my wife had always wanted a little truck. While folks keep telling me we didn't need one,
1) My wife wants a little truck, and
2) I can afford a little truck.
So we bought one.
Forty years ago, she wanted a ranger, but her mother would only co-sign for the escort. So she had oen.
Anyway, we ordered a Larat Maverick, and I put on the 4k package not for towing, but because we live in the desert where 117F is a common summer temperature, and it had extra towing.
Moving into our new place, my neighbor noticed my hauling boxes in it (and my t-shirt, showing the correct football team!), and offered his trailer.
"I can only tow 4k".
It's only 937.
"Hmm, it's not like I can load 3k myself . . ."
So it's made a couple of trips with the little trailer, but now we bought a fire table. The highest one we could find (36', with bar-type chairs).
I found a Lowes that had it in stock, and . . .
OK, so I'm a rank amateur at using the straps, and I went for overkill.
