You know of one of these that have been canceled?
I believe he is referring to your comment about not applying to the Maverick.

Summary: The above memos have absolutely nothing to do with Mavericks and one has to wonder why it is posted to this forum.
As mentioned in the title, it was Fair warning that it could happen by watching a trend of cancellations of other lines. And unfortunately I was proven right a couple days later. If not for this thread, it would have come as an unexpected shock to most members.

More so, “
“The only "remaining 22 orders" are those that have VIN#s and they will be made.

Do you have any evidence that they will not be made? People seem to have a very hard time understanding the difference between "canceled" and "changed". The only information we have is that the "remaining 22 orders" will be changed to "23". How does that equal "canceled"?

These orders will be fulfilled, and they will be at the "front of the line".

Based on the notice dealers received, ford will be cancelling the VIN and original order then re-submitting it as a '23. Not sure what semantics you're looking for.

Edited for the correct year reference.
Who the hell cares about semantics, words or year models. The vehicles will be made at the same time they would have been made before. The only difference is one number. 2 changes to 3. Is that something to really complain about?

I don't remember complaining, you asked a question and I answered. Are you upset toward someone else?

Edit: as a a note, I am impacted by it, I'm not going to receive the color I originally ordered over a year ago now. However that's the way things go, I have no control over the process so I just roll with the punches as they come. If I get the truck after 16 months of waiting then so be it 🤷‍♂️

Now that you asked, yes. I'm upset with the idiots on this forum who find some kind of masochistic pleasure in hoping for the worst when it comes to the Ford Maverick! Thanks for asking.

I get it. Many people are pessimistic at best and unfortunately the most vocal group will always be those who are unhappy.

It just looks like you're directing your frustration at the wrong person. You asked a pretty general question and based on the terms "cancelled" matching between your message and the notice from Ford, it seemed that the two would be correlated. If I misunderstood the question then I apologize for speaking up.

I added it in an edit above, but the change over/cancellation/reorder or whatever you want to call it does affect my order as the chosen color is no longer available and price protection will be gone. It's not clear what the personal offer will look like so I'm likely to pay more when I finally do take delivery but I'm hopeful that Ford is doing what they can to minimize this impact.

I understand the issue about the color.

Continuing on with the policy of not being pessimistic, I trust you assume that the private offer will more than cover the price increase. This isn't the first time this has happened with Ford and the private offers have always more then covered the price increase.

Honestly I hadn't looked at the private offer situation since this is the first Ford I've ordered and the offers given to customers who had to reorder in September didn't apply to me. Seeing now that the offer for a hybrid was $2750, I see that a similar offer would more than cover the cost difference.

FWIW, Ford has drug on MY22 for a lot longer than they normally would. But I guess they do need to draw a line at some point.
They sure have drug me along for awhile. Should have drawn the line a long time ago.

You can start a poll. 🤔

"Canceled" or changed to a '23?
Cancelled, per my sales person because my VIN number appeared on a list of MY22’s to be CANCELLED. And now to be built as a MY23 with a new VIN number.
