So I have the factory installed hard roll up tonneau cover and the underside felt doesn't stick anymore. I also get crazy water leak coming from the seam and the gap on the tailgate.

Am I able to claim warranty on it with the truck almost coming up to a year of ownership? I know these tonneau covers are Bak rebranded for Ford so I was thinking if I'm able to request an updated model like the Mx4s.

Are the trifolds better as far as coverage and durability? Is it an option they can offer as a replacement?

My hard roll up also has a gap at the tailgate that allows rain and show in. When the weather is nicer I plan on loosening the hardware and sliding the cover back towards the tailgate 1/4 inch or so. It looks like the rubber up by the cab end overhangs a bunch so there's some room for movement.

On my old truck I had a roll up that sat above the lip of the bed, versus the Ford one that seems to sit kind of inside the bed, which I think is the reason it leaks. The tailgate end buts up against the tailgate instead of capping over the tailgate. Hopefully a little tweak helps minimize the water leakage.

Any issues with the felt coming loose on both sides? It bothers me so much and also loses functionality

No physical defects as of yet. Admittedly I've probably only rolled it open a dozen times in the time I've owned it. I'll keep an eye on it though.

I had the same problem With my Ford hard roo up and I did exactly that made a difference also up towards the front on the side of the plastic pieces is a little invention on both sides that allows water to go ahead and give you hot I put some RTV silicone in the hole and that stopped that hope that helps you both. 🙂
