I had two 2003 Ranger 4.0s over a period of time. The 2wd I got new I lowered, did a bunch of mods to and it looked good. Later on I ended up with a 4x4 FX4 one ironically both the same color. Both were great and tough....loved the 4.0 SOHC in both but the MPG was bad. I remember the 4x4 rode like a lumber cart.
