Got an engine warning light at 14000 miles. ‘22 hybrid. Was told it’s an “exhaust heater” but will take a couple of days to get. Anyone have this issue?

It is heat exchanger in exhaust to preheat battery fluid before ice coolant gets warm enough.

Yes it is a heat exchanger, it's an electrical/mechanical switch that changes between heating, using the heat from engine exhaust, and cooling from a radiator, the coolant for the lithium battery pack depending on the need. There have been a number of reports of this part failing on some vehicles.

Usually it takes way longer than "a couple of days" to get.

The original fix was a complete exhaust pipe assembly. Now there is a service kit that just repairs/replaces the valve.
