I like my cars to have some color and personality. Eruption green fit that nicely given the choices.

My cynical view;
A paint supplier produced this bit it didn't sell well, so cooked up a super smoking deal for Ford to buy all the color left.
Possible?

I really didn't consider resale in the slightest when I selected Eruption Green. I just love the color. Plan on driving the Maverick until it's ready for the junkyard, and yeah, this color pops, period.

They offered it on other models. I never see anything in that color on the lot so either they actually do sell or dealerships are simply only ordering different shades of grey.

I have the same color was wondering has anyone found a place that makes the color in high temp paint. I want to paint my brake calipers so they aren't silver.

So if you see a burgundy Taurus, it's a 2010. I
You know all of those pink '59 Cadillacs? (the single year that had the dual rocket nozzle on the tailfins, the most excessive in an age of excess)

They're all repainted from other colors.

1958 was the last year for that color from cadillac--but the pink cadillac is so iconic, it keeps getting done.

[OK, it's possible that a few left the factory that color--cadillac still had the 00 paint code for custom colors, and conceivably a few could have been ordered. {under cadillac judging rules, you get dinged for a color that Cadillac didn't use that year--unless the vehicle has the 00 paint code on its build sheet!}]

could be--the reason for the black only model T was that that was the only paint that they could get that dried fast enough for their assembly line!

I love that color, our concern was how it would go with the blue interior. She Who Must Be Obeyed chose the blue.

Yeah it's not inconceivable that there were some production delay problems with the color like 2 hours extra downtime a week for cleaning nozzles or something.
