New order - 2025 Lariat Eruption Green

After a few trips to different dealerships - finally settled on an Eruption Green Lariat 4WD Hybrid with 4K trailer tow, but when I got back to the dealership that had it, they dealer traded it....grrr. Put in my order yesterday, now the wait begins.

Be careful when dealer trades enter the conversation. Here is my story.

Last year while I was many months into the wait, I found a leftover '23 XLT order that was refused and almost the same as my order. I said I'd take it at MSRP listed on the dealer site. The sales person had to check with the manager to see if they still had it and would give me a call back. A bit later he called back to say it was just "traded" to another dealer. The next day I got a call to see if I still wanted it. The trade had fallen through. But now the price was $2K over MSRP. After after giving them a bit of advice on their sales tactics, I hung up on them. Waited a few more months for my order (different dealer). It was worth the wait.

Just got an update - VIN assigned and scheduled for build March 17th

So, my order got bumped up from build week of 3/17 to build week of 3/10...here is to hoping it gets built and across the border before POTUS 47 releases the tariff "pause" button.

Well, she is here, landed last night at my dealership..

Took another picture of it at the dealership yesterday, getting some things done to her. I pick it up Tuesday. I parked my Explorer next to it.

The good thing is, with the 4K towing you will be in job 2 with Pro Hitch/Trailer Assist.

Yes, it does have that feature. I am excited. I was pleasantly surprised how quickly I got the vehicle from order to delivery.
