After reading @MtcARK post in the Pittsburgh thread about Champion in Erie, I emailed them. If everything looked good with them for fired I could go visit some relatives in Meadville and pickup my truck- 2 birds ….

Do we sell for MSRP? Yes, we do. We do not charge over MSRP for customer orders.

Do we have any dealer fees or dealer markups? We do not!!

We do accept Farm Bureau Discount? Yes we do. Right now the rebate is $500. You can call 'Farm Bureau Customer Service' at 1-888-322-5862 for any questions on getting your e-Certificate.

Let me know if you would like to have us get the information for your pre-order or answer any questions you have!!

So cool to see my childhood city Dreary Erie mentioned (I was actually HarborCreek). I still remember back in the 60s or 70s when a dealership (I think it was Healey) was exposed. They had been selling rental cars as new cars for years. Long before the Web, so you won't find it online. But it was a big deal back then.

Update- Just found out they require a 500$ deposit- That's a no go for me., but other may not have an issue with that.

I think you will find more dealers will then will not this year. They are going to have to maintain a higher / stricter order to order customer ratio or lose allocations.

Therefore, they will have to control no shows better than before.

If you think that 500 is a no go, you must not want a Maverick very badly. Compared to the purchase price, that is miniscule. Just my 2 cents, no charge this time!

If you are willing to go a little further, Rochester NY area, my dealer doesn’t require deposit. As of 2 weeks ago, still doing Ford invoice pricing (~$1k under MSRP for mine). They know all about putting in orders correctly, sending communication, price protection, etc. No games when it arrives.
