I notice it slightly and only occasionally. I tend to remote start the truck when its cold (below freezing) a couple of minutes before I get in. I get her going then ask if anyone needs anything while I'm out, get the boots and coat on etc.

But don't over think this either.

When the wheels are stationary, the traction motor is stationary, and if the engine is spinning, then the generator is spinning, being spun by the engine.

The system can put a load/amp draw on the generator, and make wattage to recharge the HV battery.

Or, if the HV battery is "full"... the load/amp draw can go to zero, and the generator can "freewheel".

Power can be applied to the generator to either speed up or slow down the engine RPM while the vehicle is in motion to change the effective gear ratio between the engine and wheels. But I see no practical reason to do this while standing still.

Guess = The ice is running at fast idle and the programmed "automatic transmission CREEP" is tuned for lower rpm ice idle. The extra torque is rocking the ice between the roll restrictor and the other two motor mounts. When the roll restrictor reaches its limit the torque will "lift" the front of truck a couple of inches of so. In any case programmed creeping is why it's done while standing still.

I have not tried it in the Maverick but....

In a remarkably similar hybrid Escape if you put the front wheels off the ground on jack stands they will spin when the truck is running in "pretend neutral" without the friction of the road to hold them still.

This is what I call "power leakage" (my term). It's hard to engineer a net-zero system. It is hard to get all forces to exactly cancel each other out is what I'm trying to say.

I have the same symptoms on my 2022 XL Hybrid. seems like when the car is cold and is in fast idle it lurches at the first few stops until it warms up. I have 38K on my vehicle

Yeah, it's just one of the anomalies of the hybrid. Certainly not a deal breaker . . . too much to like about the truck and as I have posted in numerous threads, I look for excuses to drive it.

Mine seems to be getting worse and might be worse than what others are experiencing. It will grind/lurch from a cold start until the engine is at full operating temperature - even if it's 80 degrees out. In cold temperature city driving, it can take 15+ minutes to warm up and will grind/lurch at every stop. My wife won't drive it because she's worried she'll rear end someone or hit someone. Taking it to dealer a 2nd time to try for a fix but doubt they'll "find" the issue. I'm moving from FL to OH and can't have a vehicle that's grinding and lurching all winter... If they don't fix this time, then might go down buyback/lemon law road
