Yes - pretty easy. Two nuts to be removed on the base of each and you can remove them as one piece or 8 nuts and you can take it off each one in three pieces. Here is a good video showing how they go on and off.

Thank you!! Super helpful

How long is that SUP? We have some 8 to 9ft surfboards and we're curious if the bed extender is enough to drive around locally to spots.
It’s 10’8”. But I figured out that if you put the tailgate in the half open position, it will accomplish the same thing as a bed extender.

Hey everyone!
Im, the Alex referred to as reaching out for special pricing!
This rack will work with any flush mount hard folding/rolling cover and any flush mount soft roll-up
These bars are fully able to be put in any position along the bed and are fully removable if you choose. They also come with tie-down cleats if you buy the rack and rail combo, needed if you dont have a cover like the RetraxPRO/ONE XR that has t-slots built-in

Reach out to me and I can get you a great deal on this AND a cover to pair it with if you don't have one already!
No it’s almost 6ft exactly diagonal at an up down angle. If you had a canopy maybe but not with a tonneau cover.

thanks for the reply. ive been trying to figure this out for a while and the dims are so close its hard to tell. gonna have to go with the rack it seems. why not a 5 foot bed? 😭😂
It’s really close but I think with fins and a squash tail it won’t fit. I could be wrong though. I did fit my 6’5 in the passenger seat with the seat down and the tail in the footwell.

You lost MPGs with just the racks? nothing on them or top of them? Just for having the racks empty? like in the pictures?

dang!
I did too (about 1.5 less average) with the AA Racks 2501 adjustable height. At the lowest setting they were still about 1" higher than the cab and they stuck out to the width of the mirrors. I have since swapped it for an Xtrusion Overland rack that sits just below the cab top and my mileage came back (plus it works with my tonneau cover).

Hello fellow Maverick owners / fans!!!

Here is a picture of our hybrid with the Elevate CS Rack.

If you're interested in anything Maverick check out RealTruck and get a hold of Alex here on the forum!

I did loose a few MPGs on my daily commute... 37 from about 41 over 40 miles one way and they are at the lowest height.

Luckily, the towers are easy to remove and add once everything is set up.

The main use for the rack will be for SUP duty... no pics of the SUPs at this time :)

I recently took up camping as a hobby , my 63 inch long folded tent doesn't fit in the truck bed anymore and was thinking of a set up like yours. Luckily my kayaks and SUP are inflatable so I only have to store my tent up there. Can a tent be ratchet strapped up there with just the crossbars or would it need to be on a basket on top of the crossbars ? thanks in advance

Camping!!!... that's awesome :)

63" long folded tent, NOT a roof top tent, right? Like a pop-up canopy? If so, then yes.

[EDIT] RTT would work, too :) Just make sure the clamps are long enough.

The whole Elevate system, the uprights and the cross bars are BEEFY.

Here's a pic of my Yakima SUP Dog attached to the cross bar. The Elevate bars are too BIG for the Yakima foot. I had to unbolt the cross bar from the upright and slide the foot onto the bar... it's tight!!!

Correct a floor pop up tent . I havent found anyone with a floor tent folded , zipped up and thrown on top of crossbars. This is my current camping haul and its a bit of a mess. Id figure if i get a rack system. I can ditch the hitch carrier and bring my bikes too!

Nice!

You have a lot of gear :) You must have a pretty comfy camp site!!

I keep going back to the Gazelle pop up tents... I might bite the bullet pretty soon.

THANKS its a mess ! it was our first time camping this past fathers day weekend. The gazzelle t3 was great but to small , we ordered the gazelle t4 plus over the t8 simply because of the ability of front screening lanai* , We went overboard with a pop up shower tent and pop up toilet tent but we used it all ! lol . That hitch carrier was 55 bucks at harbor freight and it was solid. Almost bought similar at amazon for $200 plus .

Curious, What height XTR did you get? Seems like they offer configurations in 1" increments. Wondering what height got your mileage back so I at least have 1 data point. Also, in your experience does the height on thier website goto the top of the cross bar surface (I assume so)?

I ordered it at 16" high, and yes, that appears to be to the top of the crossbars. If I were doing it again I'd probably go 18". 16" matches the lowest part of the cab roof (since it's domed from side to side) but sits below the highest part. For my paddleboards/kayaks its fine because the carriers easily make up the height difference, but I have to figure out some high-density foam-block spacers for lumber. Not a huge problem, just a minor annoyance. They state that 20" clears the antenna. It may clear the sharkfin, but it's definitely not clearing the stick.
