Just got told from the dealer that they can't figure it out and for me to come pick it up. Pretty much told them that if it happens again I'm trading it in.
This situation has me pretty pissed off to be completely honest and the fact they are just giving it back and not trying to figure it out the problem or even ford just try and back their products and make sure this doesn't happen again.

No sir, they are running the test with battery still on the truck. My charging system is actually amazing from all the tests. I'm hoping since we actually had a kinda cold night last night and that's only time it really acts up that it's acting up for them.
I wish I still had the build log to see if they gave me the wrong battery
Curious if you or others are getting the Charging System Error message with these issues? No cold weather here in Puerto Rico but my Maverick has been at the dealer for 3 days now and still not resolved after testing and confirm wiring harness good and batter good, still they went the extra mile changing out the wiring harness and a new battery but still the truck throws the error about 5 minutes after starting.

No sir I got a u3003 code according to my dealer and he did a BMS reset and he couldn't make the problem come back and he couldn't find any parasitic draw either. I haven't had to jump it since I got my truck back so that's positive but I still don't have a lot of faith in it right now.
I'm happy your dealer is going above and beyond, that's how it should be and I really hope they fix the issue and definitely keep everyone updated if they find it

Just got a call from the dealer, they finally found the issue was an obscure sensor wire which originally tested ok but after going through replacing wires, harness, battery step by step this wire originally tested on Monday came up bad this morning - they are putting truck through a 4 hour test cycle to ensure the problem as been fixed and I can pick up late this afternoon assuming the test completes without throwing the error again. Love the effort on the part of my dealer service technician and service advisor. I will ask which wire it was specifically and post that info.

I caught the heading, ecoboost battery and am following along.
Just curious, what are your build dates on your vehicles. Mine is 10/31/2022. I am in Wisconsin, at the moment we're in 30s - 20s for temps and I am only putting on about 20 miles a week. (Have concern about not charging the battery enough). But have had no issues. Is the power drain wiring??

My build is late 2021. There were none available in AZ when we departed for Puerto Rico early January 2022 and checking with the biggest Ford dealer on the island, they had over 90! Anyway, I am now trying to figure out just which wire was the issue because in looking under the hood today, literally every visible wire appears changed as they still have tags on them as well as brand new battery. Sorry not more help at this time but if you are putting 20 miles a week on with the engine running at least 30 minutes consecutive in that stretch I would be very surprised if you would have any issues and being a later build, hopefully this glitch was a rare one. If I can find the specific sensor wire part number I will post it.

There were multiple wiring harnesses replaced on my Maverick XLT as well as the battery but it appears the one that was the culprit was KUST-12C508 - just wanted to get that posted - no issues so far since replaced and have already put the truck through in paces in sand and off road not that would make any difference

Is it KU5T by chance? That's the entire engine wiring harness...wow.

I've had a battery issue since it was 3 months old., it is now 14 months old. I have charged it 2 times and it slowly looses charge. Right after charge the auto start stop works for about 2 or 3 days then stops working.

Just got back from dealer. they said battery was at 22%. Come on It's a new vehicle, battery should not be at 22%. They said they deep cycle charged battery and it said battery was 100%. I repeated I also deep cycle charged it twice and it shows battery at 100% they slowly loses charge over several weeks. They also mentioned the did a battery reset. Mechanic was dumbfounded when I told him I did that also and said oh you have a scan tool, I said yes but you don't need one to do a battery reset (BMS) their is a sequence of pumping brakes and flashing high beams, and it's actually in owners manual. Get out start to drive it and low and behold the auto start stop still isn't working. I asked mechanic and he said vehicle just needs to be driven for a short period and it will work again. I know this was a bunch of crap but since I'm going to bring it back it in several weeks to have the airbags replaced if it's not work then you guys should replace the battery, he agreed.

To me it's common sense, it's a new vehicle if the battery is loosing charge it's either a bad battery or it's a charging system issue. I guess we will see when I take it back in several weeks.

I just ran a NOCO quick connect to top off the battery every two to three weeks. Seems to keep the truck happy for now.

Extreme cold, below -18C/0F, at least in my case prevents the battery from being charged fully when using a smart charger. One reboots after sometime getting to 100%. My other one just stops after completing, instead of trickle charging. I've had the vehicle get down to 50% SoC (battery analyser), while the BdyCM reads 20%.

The BMS reset works, but, it's doesn't fix the fact the battery was low. Doing the reset while recharging the battery is optimal. However, if you leave the vehicle parked for 8 hours, the SoC will read 77%. Tested the battery and it's 100%.

Auto-stop-start, I find only works during the warmer season.

Your battery is toast. Mine got replaced after:

1. me resetting the BMS

2. The dealer resetting the BMS

And seeing no improvement.

Yeah that's what I tried to tell the mechanic, told him i did all the things he did and did not resolve the issue. Figured I would just push the issue and tell them they need to replace the battery when I go back to have the airbags replaced.
