When are you expecting the hybrid to come in?

You should, and just be mindful of the payload if you start building this type simple overland platform. You may pick a too big of a roof top tent plus the weight. And all the things to consider. Such as: road shower, awning and the bed rack system itself. Then yes, weight ratio will definitely play a big role having it on a hybrid. I know that there's slight changes in numbers when you start putting things on a truckbed of our mini trucks. It doesn't matter if its the base or lux package.
Also consider wind drag. But yeah let me know if you have any other questions. Feel free to ask away.

Ford says it will be built on the week of June 13 so probably mid to late July. With regards to the weight, I probably wouldn’t go as die hard since I’ve never even went camping but don’t intend to tow or off-road. Mainly just looking for an emergency zombie situation. But the tent with those rack bars are sweet!

I’m curious to see if anybody installs an off-road roof rack that we commonly see on the Tacoma’s.

Day 1 - May 12th, drove to my local Friendly Ford to check out to see if they have any Maverick on display. Saw all 3 model trims and they were all accounted for.

Sales Agent informed me that there's a '22 Mav XLT FX4 4K coming in next week.

Day 2 - Sales Agent phoned me and notified that the truck has arrived.

Test Drove/Purchased Date: Friday, May 13th.

My heart was pounding because I ended up taking it home the same day the agent called me. This truck was supposed to come in a week later.

Day 3 - transfered my Yakima bike rack right away.

Currently awaiting a scheduled June 24 delivery of the exact same Mav and this post is really exacerbating my impatience!

Thank you so much! So sorry to steal your truck for a min and posted it on this thread. I was drooling over it eventhough it was the XL trim. I was really hoping to order the same exact one @Vegas Maverick. But then Ozzie (Salesperson) phoned me, and notified me about a cancelation.

Have you done anything to your truck so far? You must love the Hybrid mpg.

I actually did put an off-road roof rack system on mine 2 yesterday morning. Ahaha!

It's not the expensive Prinsu system though. Those are way too expensive. So I reused mine from my 2001 Mitsubushi Galant. They use the same kit. But ended up buying a 65" crossbar to accommodate the girth of the cab roof.

I'll probably get a small cargo/basket for my Pelican or Front Runner Wolfpacks.
