Dual zone climate control Lariat Lux

Hi I am having issues understanding how the dual zone climate control works. I have looked in the manual but still confused. Specially if I depress the temp setting a lamp comes on but not sure what it does. A general overview would help.

You can use the dials to set each side interdependently or, if the light is on, both sides will stay in sync, when controlled from the driver side knob.

Thanks seems I can turn on each light independent of each other. But now I know what to look for. Will need to fiddle with it.

When you turn the knobs the temperature setting should display on the radio screen

Yes but not sure what happens when I press that button a smal light comes on.

Dual means dual zones - driver and passenger sides are on separate zones.

With dual-zone off, it acts as a single-zone climate system:

Turn temp dial on driver side - change the single temp setting for the whole cabin
Turn temp dial on passenger side - switches to dual-zone, changes temp for passenger side only
Press button on passenger side temp dial - manually turn on dual-zone mode

With dual-zone on:

Turn temp dial on driver side - change temp on driver side
Turn temp dial on passenger side - change temp on passenger side
Press button on passenger side temp dial - turn dual zone off - this sets the whole cabin to the driver side temp and temp dial

Basically, unless you know you want to use dual zone mode, you want that off (with the light off), and only use the driver side temp dial.
