You are correct. McLaren is my fun car. But now I'm driving the Mav on Saturdays and Sundays when I would usually take the convertible.

The wife used to have the "nice" car and I drove the beater - whatever it was (last one was given to me lol). So we always traveled in her car, most recently a Mazda CX-30.

When I bought our 1st Maverick, we immediately decided to travel in the Mav... comparable (better?) mileage on the highway and once we get somewhere the hybrid absolutely blows the car away in town. Bonus is we can take/bring home more stuff if needed and always the option of towing.

Now that we have two Maverick hybrids, it might come down to some armwrestling to decide which one to take. Unless it's summer as our Mavs are what we drive when the weather isn't suitable for motorcycles. lol

I’ve been driving my Mav less than I expected. Now at 3 1/2 years and still under 17k miles. I took the long way to McD’s this morning just so I could spend a little more time in it!!
