Door Shell & Rear Quarter Panel Replacement. Any advice?

Hello!

Unfortunate run-in with a garage door after swerving to miss an oncoming car.

Not sure what the best way to go about getting something like this replaced is. Local body shop gave me a quote with a long lead time for parts.

Looked at some auctions of totaled Mavericks but unsure (at least for the rear quarter panel) that it'd be a simple swap and paint match regardless.

Wondering if biting the bullet and getting parts on order is the best move.

Bummer. I have seen a video on here somewhere of people replacing a quarter panel. Didnt look too bad.

The rear quarter panel is held on with bolts EXCEPT for one small spot weld under the taillight which needs to be drilled out to remove the panel.

Curious if you fixed this or took it to a shop? The only result I see on google is a body shop guy complaining about the beside being spot welded?
I have to replace my beside as well. Looking for procedure. Body shops are scheduled WAY out and I don't want it fixed - I want it replaced.

Going to take it to a shop, some vet bills came in for my dog so had to put this on the side. They would replace the entire panel and door shell though

What did you end up doing in regards to your quarter panel? Wondering if you replaced yourself and if it was relatively straightforward.
Some @$$h@t hit and run my quarter panel on my brand new vehicle. Considering procuring a color-matched used one and doing a direct replacement.
