Just curious if Ford scheduled to many trucks in June...?

Part of the VIN # does designate the year of the vehicle, so you are pretty assured that it will be a 22. Otherwise they will have to re-issue you a new vin.Just curious if Ford scheduled to many trucks in June...?
Because Ford Maverick scheduling is 100% accurate. They always build them exactly the week they plan to. They never have to push back a build date. /sA VIN means you are getting a MY22.

Ford uses just-in-time manufacturing just like all the other auto companies. I can guarantee you they don't have all the parts for two months of production just sitting at the Hermosillo faculty waiting for assembly . They have orders from the parts suppliers and schedules for when they should be delivered. But just like everything else in the supply chain, one of those vendors may not be able to deliver the parts when they planned. This has been happening all along and is what causes Ford to delay vehicle builds. But now they are running up against a hard stop of October 21. I was scheduled for last week of June. Then that week arrived few days in to the week and it was rescheduled for this week. I am not surprised at all I was more surprised it got scheduled. I track it yesterday it was noted as built on the 4th. Got the email today confirming it. Didnt hear anything from anyone, untill i recieved my VIN, had the car in les then 14 days from recieving vin ( Hybrid FE )Just curious if Ford scheduled to many trucks in June...?
I agree, people would rather be pleasantly surprised rather than disappointed their VIN did not get built so Ford will be more conservative about telling the customer they have a VIN. But Ford has to be optimistic in their planning. The last thing Ford wants is them to have parts, equipment and labor to build vehicles but don't have VINs/scheduling to build them. So they will assign VINs to customer orders but not tell the customer until after the vehicle is made.I would also have to believe a VIN assignment is a 99.9% assurance of model year production. I suppose there might be a rare scenario where a VIN could be deleted, but given all that a VIN represents, I don't think mfgr's would do this except in extreme situations. I also suspect, as '22 production winds down, VIN assignment will come much closer to actual production, as the parts/supplier conditions become even more fluid.
But yeah, I think VIN's assigned through August should be pretty comfortable knowing they will be '22 models. Then at some point, we will see those VIN assignments slow down, and get released very close to the actual production week.
