I have been monitoring all of the threads about rescheduling, rollovers, etc.

I thought my MY22 XL Hybrid might fall into the category of MY22 Mavericks that would keep getting pushed out until it flipped over to the MY23 ordering. And, I could not understand why since the only thing on it that might be causing delays is the spray-in bedliner.

I have had a VIN since early April. It has been scheduled for production 3 times and the 3rd time was the charm. The first time it was scheduled for production was the week of May 23. It was, finally, built on July 7. I am in southern California. Thus, it will go from Mexico to a rail yard in Mira Loma CA. Then, it will get picked up and delivered to the dealer when a truck is available.

I ordered it on September 6, 2021. It looks like one of the Granger trucks: Oxford White XL Hybrid with Trailer Hitch, Co-pilot 360, and Spray-in bedliner.

Quick update... My Maverick arrived and was offloaded at the Mira Loma rail yard on July 13. It's been sitting about 30-miles away waiting for a truck to pick it up and deliver it to the dealer ever since. Ford sent an email stating it might get picked up and delivered between August 2 and August 8. It's frustrating to know it is so close and cannot be trucked the last few miles to the dealer for me to pick up. :-(

A VIN means you are getting a MY22.
Because Ford Maverick scheduling is 100% accurate. They always build them exactly the week they plan to. They never have to push back a build date. /s
The VIN has nothing to do with them moving the build week. They may move it all around, but the VIN is tied to the model year and if you have a VIN assigned then you are getting a 22.
The VIN does not mean a whole lot until it gets stamped into the vehicle as it is being built. They can always assign a new VIN to a customer if the vehicle is not built by October 21.
It is my understanding that once a VIN is assigned, the parts for the vehicle are all available. So while the build week may change, a VIN being rescinded and a new one issued would be extremely strange.

Again, as @fordvideoguy said in his livestream last night, if you've got a VIN you are getting a MY22.
Ford uses just-in-time manufacturing just like all the other auto companies. I can guarantee you they don't have all the parts for two months of production just sitting at the Hermosillo faculty waiting for assembly . They have orders from the parts suppliers and schedules for when they should be delivered. But just like everything else in the supply chain, one of those vendors may not be able to deliver the parts when they planned. This has been happening all along and is what causes Ford to delay vehicle builds. But now they are running up against a hard stop of October 21. If they don't have all the parts by then, they can't produce the vehicle.
Ford has a method of knowing what they can build in advance. We may not know that exact method, but they schedule what they can build and VINs are assigned.

No one with an assigned VIN is getting punted to MY23. But if you don't believe that, fine. You'll just have to see for yourself.
Sorry, I had to

As I stated somewhere else on this forum.. It is shocking that the company that literally invented mass production of vehicles can be so extremely terrible at it.

Also, this "if you have a VIN you're getting built" is no different than what Tim said every single time until tonight.

It's a real cluster.

I have a VIN. Just found out I'm getting canceled and converted to a MY'23.
