Correct, I don't believe this information is available in the owners manual. If you would like a copy of the 2022 service manual here is a link to my onedrive account were you can download the pdf version. Keep in mind there is no information in this version regarding the Tremor package.

Thanks. The reason I'm looking is because the tremor has an entirely different RDU than all other mavericks.

The owners manuals are a joke. Very little information regarding services in them (and that's how they like it - just enough to get you through their warranty and in their service department).

But all the service manuals make no differentiation between fluid specs. Since the manual also covers Hybrid equipment, it's safe to assume if there were any changes to be made they would be in there. If you need extra clarification, I'd check with the local service dept but this was sent to me in a PM from a service tech on this forum for the 23/24 YM and it's the same as the previous ones:

I got under my 2024 Lariat Tremor today to have a look and compare to what you shared here.

I have some pics which might show it

The PTU is different and those steps won't work. Just like the bronco badlands the drain plug appears to have been filled with a sensor. I think you'll have to remove the liquid cooler to drain it.
Here is the fill plug, up the passenger side like you expect

But no drain plug, it appears to be holding a sensor.

The RDU also looks slightly different but it appears to have a viable drain and fill plug just the same.

Alright @Ford Motor Company

What's the deal here. Why do no service manuals specify anything for the TREMORS?

At the very least we know the removal of the skid plate is unique, not that I think anyone needs a manual for that part but there is no specifications there either - and if the Tremor does use a different PTU then what fluid does it need and how much.

I'd assume removal of the sensor is to be used for draining? I thought someone posted how they did it a while back and it looked different, but they mentioned removing other parts to fill which didn't make sense if there is a fill plug at the top? Correct me if I'm wrong and if someone can link to that thread that would be helpful.

I've asked multiple service departments if there is any difference and been told no - which means none of them have worked on it and what they are seeing does not specify. It's a bit alarming.

The manual posted is for the 2022 model year. There was no Tremor in 2022.

I've asked FORD Tech's and they specify there is still no difference in the manuals. Gotta read the whole comment man. If there is one - nobody seems to know about it.

My understanding is that the factoryservice manual is intended to be customer facing and Ford dealerships actually use the workshop manuals which are more detailed and contain every Ford model and option package rather than a single vehicle.

So I think it is possible the fsm did not get updated for the Tremor if there is nothing later than 2022.

Bumping this old thread. Since I posted this and the photos of the tremor's different components another generous member posted the steps for replacing the PTU fluid (great thread, go read it in the maintenance forum) showing the same steps as the bronco badlands.

What about the RDU?
Does anyone have insight into what fluid the tremor RDU (which is different than all other mavericks) uses?
