Does the order number mean anything?

Does your order number mean anything, say your order number for a lariat AWD hybrid in carbonized gray was a 4000 number, I see some people block out there order number not sure why ? I had got notification of a December build, is order number total of orders or trim level, I have ordered 2 f350s few years back and they take over a month after build to rail and then truck to dealership.

The order number is created by the dealer. It's their system; perhaps denoting the salesman's initial with the number of calendar year orders he/she has made for example or however they chose to create it. Means nothing as far as priority or anything else outside the dealership.

It will to dealer say B123= The 123rd vehicle sold by Bob This Year.
This came into play when a 2022 truck wasn't produced until 2023 and salesman had sold the same number of trucks in 2023 and his window sticker or sometng wasn't his truck.

In my case, the order letter "E" was first letter of my last name and not the salesperson's initial.

OP: It's always good practice to remove any personal info that may be referenced back to you, if posting on a public forum. Order numbers, VINs, real names, addresses, phone #s, SSNs, etc.

My order was built on the 9th but just now got spray in bed liner, will be about 3 more weeks They say
