What does the order number mean?

I ordered my loaded Maverick Lariat on August 6th. Ford gave me an order number of 2293. What does that order number mean? At that time Ford was claiming over 70,000 reservations. Was I the 2293 person to order a Maverick at that point in time?

It means nothing. Just a PIN code like a debit card. My dealer used the last 4 of my phone number as my order number.

Use pin 2293 and the VIN of your Truck to track the status. You will receive an email from Ford once the vehicle build is scheduled. They should have your email address on file when you placed the reservation.

Thank you. My dealer couldn't tell me anything about it. I figured that it would take 6 months or longer before i get the truck.
