No. With a window straight up/down, snow, rain, moisture, usually doesn't stick on the window like one with a slant to it.

I'm so old, I remember when a rear window defroster was a new thing. I even had an after market one put on my ... Wait for it... Renault Encore.

There are conditions that a defroster is necessary, regardless that the back window is straight. Do all pickups not have one? Think Ford skimped on this one.

Did you hear the story about ford making a truck that is cheaper than a honda civic with better fuel economy? It's a good one, great punchline, and the characters are all relatable...even if their back windows get a little chilly

Thought I saw that....one of those little details that made me pull the trigger on the Lariat.
I saw a Lariat in person and did not see any defroster lines in the rear window.

I think it depends what area of the country you live in. I've lived all over. The only time I've used the rear defroster regularly was in New Orleans.

My Ridgeline has a rear defroster but it seldom gets used.
No rear window defroster even on fully optioned out truck. I was surprised and started looking for it on other trucks on the road and not many have them. Ford does offer it on higher trim F150s. I'll know if I need it in a few months
