There are plenty of reasons to add something to a Maverick.

Maybe it protects the truck, adds storage, makes daily driving easier—or maybe you just like the way it looks.

Sometimes that alone is reason enough.

Not every spoiler, light, fender flare, or exterior upgrade has to solve a problem. Sometimes one change is all it takes to make the truck feel more like your own.

Then again, some owners want every mod to earn its place and add something useful.

How do you look at it?

Does function usually come first, or are you perfectly happy adding something just because it looks right on your build?

Curious how everyone else approaches it—what kind of mods do you usually go for?

Interesting question. For me it's about the functionality. Even when looking for a vehicle I was not looking much at the appearance, rather I was considering what my "needs" were. If I had for example found a Maverick Lariat without the black appearance package but with all the other options I wanted I would have bought that. When I needed mud flaps I looked for a product that would do the job the best and was less concerned with appearance (of course I ended up with the @MABETT mud flaps, which actually do the job well!). In the past I've had vehicles that were had more "appearance" oriented stuff from the factory but have not been the sort of owner who adds stuff for dressing the vehicle.

Admittedly I do enjoy looking at what others do for appearance mods because I can appreciate a neatly done vehicle.

Yeah,I think a lot of owners are the same way — they want every modification to have a real purpose, not just for looks.

That’s also why we really value feedback from owners. It helps us focus on making products that actually solve everyday problems!

For me, most add on have to have a function of some kind. The only none functional add on I got were cheap tailgate letters, and I could have lived without it.

I like the aftermarket add on stuff. Like to see others do cool stuff to their Mavericks.
Personalizing a vehicle is the America way for many of us, it great fun.

Personally I don’t like sticking things on my painted surfaces.
So I don’t. My Truck My Rules.

I do like those functional pieces that keep rocks out of this cavity or that hole.
Or leaves out of this spot or that, under or behind the hood for example.

Does anybody know if deer whistles work ?

Some of the add ons I consider useless look really good.
It’s like hanging a picture on a bare wall.
Just do it,
It’s your money,
You’ll be dead one day sooner than you think so go for it.
Money, you can’t take it with you,
It’s worth less if you hang onto it.
So,
Choose wisely

The only reason I left the white King Ford dealer sticker on the tailgate is because it goes with the new black with white lettering Ford oval emblem.
Whatcha boyz think ?
Should I keep the dealer sticker ?
They peel off easy.

You're the new "Road King" baby!

At least it's a cool sounding one and not something like "Holler Ford"

I'm old and cheap. So if it doesn't fill a need I'm unlikely to add it. That is not to say I wouldn't add a mod just for style but unlikely.
That's why it's called a mod, some like the look, some like what it does, and some like something just a little different!

Never removed a dealer sticker in my life. I can't see it from the driver's seat. I also don't remove the Wrangler tag from my jeans, the carhart pocket shirts. And if I wore Nikes, which I never have, I wouldn't remove the swoosh form them.
