Currently my order has a priority number of 12. If it gets lowered to a 10 does that mean it would get built sooner? And if so, how do I go about getting it to a 10? Just ask the dealership?

Not necessarily. Priority codes only matter within a dealership. It means that if your dealer has two builds that are EXACTLY the same, the one with the lower priority code SHOULD get built sooner. It's not a gaurentee because Ford has many factors determining what's built. Constraints, etc

And yes, you would ask your dealer for that. It couldn't hurt to have it lowered.

On customer ordered vehicles, dealer can assign priority code between 10-19. All other things being equal, Ford would look at and presumably build the order with the lower priority code. It seems dealers have their own systems for how they assign the codes, for example some dealers give favored/repeat customers a lower code at the time the order is placed. My dealer states they leave all orders at 19, which is apparently the default. I haven't been successful in getting them to change my code.

My order was originally a"19" as of July 6, 2021. About 2 months later it was changed to a "2". Still no VIN or build date.
