My dealer wouldn't take the money till it hit the lot but the cost didn't change from when I saw it was incoming and when I picked it up. I paid MSRP for mine no markups in october. So definitely dealers choice one if they try this stuff. I also bought my truck within 24hrs of the truck arriving they called me when the truck got there I bought it the next morning. I also didn't order the truck it was one they had gotten just to get one to sell and as far as I know it is the ONLY one they have gotten orders or otherwise

So I reached out to my dealer this week to see what add-on they are adding to new vehicles sales.

So this is the email I received.

Thank you so much for choosing Rodeo Ford to facilitate your Maverick order. I want to provide clarification as to any premium or market adjustments. As we had previously disclosed Rodeo Ford will not charge any premium or market adjustment for any special order unit. That being said all incoming units per the GM will immediately have installed the addendum items such as our lifetime tint, One Armor paint/interior protectant as well as our D’fence security and tacking system. All of these items offer significant value and benefit to us as a dealer, as well as to you as the customer and are non-negotiable per the GM. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to let us know. Here are video links for the Dealer installed items:

I watched the videos and checked out the products. Not impressed, since the One Amror paint and interior protection is NOT what they show in the video....

I also asked how much the addendum items was costing, of course they never told. I've been busy withjust life issues, and today the GM wrote me, now mind you I never wrote the GM... This was his email to me.

"These are standard adds that we put on all our vehicles even before the shortage of vehicles if this is a deal breaker we will not add them to your order ."

I responded to the GM and thanked him for not adding them to my truck.

Sometimes it seems silence works. I'm surprised they caved so easy since the dealer markup on these things is insane.

Build week 2-21, which means it won't show up until Late March or early April, with my luck lately I'll get a call on April 1st.
Shell game. As usual...

I hope this turns out as you have described. If not, we may see another MTC dealer beat down.

We shall see, if they play games, I walk. I normally don't go quietly. A few years back I wanted to Lease to a new Mustang GT, the GM was a dick, after writing a letter to a contact I have in the automotive world, a week later the GM called me, apologized (it was a misunderstanding no it wasn't) told the GM, I had purchased a car from another dealer with no games. My contact called me back to find out what happened, told them I went to another dealer. Dealerships know people hate going to them, and they do not care.

I can see where dealers are at right now, no inventory ( or limited inventory) means decreased revenue, but the sleazy way they go about it is all wrong. If they would work with me, on getting the tint (I want) and the ceramic coating (I want) I'd pay a couple of hundred more so I don't have to take my own time to drive it and get it done, but the dealers are hellbent on it's their way...

I work for a small town and there is local ISP installing fiberoptic in our town. I needed some short amount of underground conduit. Asked the owner if I could buy some from him. He just said go around the back of our office and take what you needed in the scrap pipe. They had alot of 25-50 ft runs that are useless to him.
When I need some metal I go to the local machine shop. The owner there just charges cost and sometimes really small amounts just gives it to you.

I also own a building supply boom truck. I don't nickel and dime people over little things.

The more vehicles I buy the more I try to learn to avoid any unnecessary add on‘s.

my last vehicle had the nitrogen in the tires with free fill ups for 1 year. I didn’t want it but it was already added. I had drove 900 miles and just wanted to get a hotel to rest before another 900 mile drive back. So I didn’t argue about it.

You had to register with the nitrogen fill company but the dealership never gave me the registration card or the registration number. Called the salesman but her referred me to the service dept. Well I never did get anyone to give me the registration # so I got ripped for $300.

live and learn.

If you have an EB Maverick on order, you might want to talk to your dealer, the factory has no problems building EB's.

If the GM writes me back I might ask what the added cost if.
I wouldn’t do that, it shows interest and they will do everything they can to rope you back into buying it. If they are not going to add it and you have it in writing, leave well enough alone!

I’d email Ford direct and CC dealer that they are requiring add-ons beyond your custom build sheet. The “required” will likely change to optional quickly.
In Northeast florida dealers who previously had wild ADM are advertising none via e mail. Corp. Fords pressure tactics seem to be working:)

That is what I ordered in November. Just curious how long it too to get it.
I ordered mine on July 7th, confirmed by Ford the same day. The built week is 2-28 (fingers crossed)

Salinas Valley Ford (Salinas Ca) adds Cilajet to the maverick they were selling. I told them I didn’t want it and wouldn’t pay the extra $5000 for it. The salesman said he would waive it if I went and bought the vehicle that day. Needless to say I didn’t want to do business with that dealership. Ended up driving almost an hour to The Ford Store Morgan Hill to buy my Maverick Hybrid. Excellent service and people there.
