When I went to pick up my Maverick at Jeff Smith in Byron GA. they tried to tack on an additional $6,000 to the quoted price. They never told me this. EVER! I just about blew my top! I finally got them down to $1700.
I will be speaking to a lawyer. Good thing I insisted they not put a dealer...
I waited 7 months for my Maverick. So far I have been very happy with my choice. Now, had I dropped 40k on it, I might think different. I am taking a 5 hour road trip Sunday to St. Augustine. We will see how I feel after that. P.S. my wife loves it. I might even get to drive!
My Maverick finally arrived. Ordered in August, last delivery date promised was April 4-10. I was shocked when I got a call yesterday (8 Mar) that is was here! Only problem is, that MY RIGHT FOOT IS IN A CAST, AND I CAN'T DRIVE IT FOR TWO WEEKS! At least it looks good in rhe driveway! (oh, BTW...
Instead of scheduling more builds, why doesn't Ford complete orders that were promised in Jan, pused out to Feb, then pushed out to Mar., now promised in April?
I went to my Ford dealer (Jeff Smith) in Byron, Ga. to confirm my order. I was informed that the hybrid engined Maverick would take longer to produce. We switched the order to the 2.0 engine (Sept. 27) and got a production date of 11/8. Not changed yet.
