Thanks, it worked very well on the F150 for what it is. So far I’ve used it for moving stuff to the garage sale for the wife. She wants me to use a tarp so I Won’t scratch the bedliner

This looks way better and more functional than the folding bed extenders on the aftermarket! Excellent work!

I kinda thought about doing something similar with the “flexbed” slots and the D-rings and a few 2x4sand a can of spray-on bedliner one day. Of course, the idea is never the hard part - it’a finding the time to put it to action haha

Yes it is from an aluminum ladder, very light and very strong. Made from an eight foot ladder, the kind I think is called an extension ladder, 2 sections adjust back and forth. Yes it will take a bunch of weight on it. I’ve had firewood stacked up to it all the way in my f150. It mounts the same way as it did before so I would think it is just as strong now. It’s about a foot narrower than before. If you wanted more strength you could use bigger corner bolts. It weighs about 5-10 lbs, est.

Adapted this bed extender from my F150. I used it for firewood mostly. It is made out of a ladder and shelf material. Originally made it as there was “bed anxiety “ on my f150 due to 2 CNG tanks in the bed. Mav also has Some restriction with the bed. This yields almost six feet of bed length. I cut about a foot off the width and 3 inches off the sides to get it to fit from previous vehicle. It connects to each side of the bed with hook-bolts. Takes about 5 minutes to install. The rails have a slit hose on the bottom to protect the paint

Thanks for that. Aluminum extension ladder, Cut down and wire shelves cut down. It is about 49 inches wide and a little longer than the tailgate.
