For water proofing the front hinges you could try long strips of rubber mat like you can get at HD. Sandwich it like a full length gasket but leave enough slack for the swing of the hinge. Then maybe a diversions strip of wood trim a few inches up the slope from the hinge. Some ideas there

I have some leftover pond liner material and Im thinking of attaching it permanently to one side of the hinge but using a solid strip of velcro on the other side. I want to be able to remove it in two separate pieces.

It's been a minute since this post but I actually used something inspired by this suggestion!! Thanks. Unfortunately, the bit of water that did get under was trapped and over time mildewed and rotted the thinner boards under. I am still working on it and it's not a deal breaker!!

Has anyone ever tried to run wire through the bed/back seat wall? A deep cycle marine battery fits under the back seat but I would like to run the wires through to the bed for use in my “camper build”
