I got an aftermarket folding 3 piece cover on Amazon. $140...easy to install...I added a layer of good quality weather stripping from Home Depot to keep water out, and it's been great. Never saw a cover last more than 3 or 4 years, so why spend a ton of money on one?

Mike,
You aren't the only one having trouble with the hinge seals on your "BakFlip Tonneau cover.

Paul,
I think you have the right idea by Eliminating BakFlip tonneau covers, from your choices.
There are too many good ones to choose from.
I paid less than $400 for my, double folding, 3 panel, hard tonneau cover.
I'm still satisfied with it.
Mine isn't as versatile or as nice looking as the bakflip.

Good Luck

I agree, sorry for your cover and its too late to help you but for the other guys on the channel don't spend 1100 for a ford cover its a waste of money, I too paid 400 for a hard cover that works fine and don't leak if installed properly, I seam sealed the 4 seams in the trim on the top of the maverick that cause leaks very neatly, not a drop of water gets in, even in the car wash. less than 30 min install, sorry for your troubles.

What sealer did you use? I used butyl rubber tape on the recommendation of a post somewhere and also the customer support. It is cracking and is sticky still. I want to remove it and use something better.
Black seam sealer, any hardware, sticky? why do you want sticky? there are 4 places water pores in under heavy rain and car washes on the top trim seams the Maverick has, all covers need to be sealed in these locations. I will take photos and add when I go outside, also very important to go back and retighten a turn or so a few days after install when seal on the cover shrinks some. Photos to come. I never thought I would say this after 30/40 years of pickups leaking with all kinds of covers, I have one now that don't leak for 400 bucks and a $5.00 seam sealer.

I don't want sticky. That's the problem with the butyl rubber it stays sticky but cracks and shrinked. I had it leak free in May but as the sealer has shrank and cracked not so much now . Thanks for the info.
Am adding photos of 4 seams I sealed to stop leaking I used basic seam sealer at any hardware store, I saw this on utube one of the guys that worked at Real Truck did it to his truck to stop leaks and worked for me on both of my Mavericks, my first XLT had a soft Ford trifold and second Maverick lariat has a 400 Amazon hard cover.

Maybe I misunderstood you are you sealing around the whole cover, if that's the case don't know how to help, in the photos I added I found my biggest leaks by getting in the bed closing the gate and having a friend hose it down, I took a bath, by the 4 seams in the photos and some on the sides that was just a matter of turn on the claps after a few days that the cover was on and the seal shrunk slightly. the only place that water can come in are the vertical lines in the tailgate and that don't bother me we don't get horizontal rain the top of my cover is tight to the gate and not leaking, there are tailgate kits or seals on amazon if that worries you or you must be watertight, I like the idea that some air gets in the bed you could get mold and it could stink, like my friend with his F150 that has one of those rug like bed inserts, he made his bed air tight and now it stinks in the bed.
