Disabling Electrical System

This would be my first Hybrid I'm going to modify.

Does anyone know if
(1) it is safe to disconnect the 12V battery, potentially for several days?
(2) is there any safety precautions to disable the "normal" electrical system to the cabin and the bed beyond disconnecting the 12V and letting it rest for a couple minutes to discharge the caps?

It’s safe to disconnect the 12v battery. The accessories should go dead. However, in case they don’t, (the high voltage battery may not allow modules to immediately go to sleep) , you can go under the hood and disconnect the connector which allows the high voltage system to be disabled. It’s on the left side of the Engine compartment and completely safe to disconnect. No danger to you at all.

Cool. Assuming I see my cabin lights go dead, would I want to disable the high voltage system as well or should it be safe to leave that enabled so long as I'm nowhere near the engine bay?

You’d be fine . The high voltage wiring is clearly marked with bright orange insulation. So as long as you don’t have to mess with them, you’re safe. But even if you had to disable the high voltage battery, it’s a 30second operation.
