Diode Dynamics vs GTR Lighting Third Brake Light

So, decided to replace the third brake light. First went to my go to Diode Dynamics and ordered their XPR bulb. Also got the GTR Lighting 921/T15 GTR Carbide Canbus 2.0 (GTR.LED602) from Headlight Revolution, for half the cost of DD. Comparing the two, except for slight differences in casing, they look to be the same exact thing. Even pull the same exact current. And these things get super hot, hopefully they will be fine with the stock reflector. Both made in China. Customer service at DD has always been superb for me. HR has been a little slow to reply and ship.

Also replaced the cargo lights with two DD HP36 bulbs. They give a nice clean white light. Surprisingly, the cargo light reflectors had already slightly dulled from the heat of the stock bulbs and the car has under 10k miles.

Look closely, and the casing is slightly dull/melted from the heat of stock bulb.

Just a quick update on the GTR bulb that I used for the brake light. Had to replace it twice already. Although I got the replacements under warranty, it is not worth the hassle to me. Installed the factory incandescent bulb back in.

Been using lasfit led bulbs in mine 18.00 for 4 bulbs, 2 red, 2 white been going strong for nearly a year or so.

i just got the housing from morimoto. Found it on ebay for much cheaper than it normally costs. i think it looks way better than oem+led.

I got the bulb kit from Fanteli, the red one blinks three times before going solid when the brake pedal is pushed.

In case anyone does not know this 2015 f150 high mount brake lights fit the maverick. I bought my tinted led one on ebay for $21
